Alpha testing starting in November

The first Rebuild 3 alpha test will take place in November. It's still very very early and probably very very broken, so I'm limiting it to just a few people at first. If you want to guarantee you get to play the new game from the earliest alpha build, you can pledge $15 or higher to the Kickstarter campaign. I'll be gradually adding testers with each new (and successively more fun) build, so you'll all get to play before the game comes out in Spring 2014.

I've been working hard to prep the first version. I'm very excited... and scared of what you'll think! This first version will be very rough, and I'll have to disable a lot of features for now because they're just too distracting in their half-finished state. I won't be looking for bug reports, just feedback on what IS working.

I'm planning to send out another version every month until release, and add a few more testers every time. When it seems fun enough, I'll declare it "beta" and everyone who preordered the game will get to join in.

Hey, i was just wondering. I read that some folks have already been contacted about the alpha. I never received any notification other that what came through kickstarter. Is there an eta? Also, I signed up for kickstarter through facebook so I could post about what I was backing. However, my facebook email is not the email I currently used. Is there a way to get updates to my prefered email account so that I can stop checking my old spam account for rebuild related stuffs?

Nobody has been contacted about the alpha yet. I'm rushing to make it as playable as possible for you so it isn't just a tech demo (which might still happen...) but it won't be ready for a couple weeks. In the meantime I'll be sending out a Kickstarter poll next week and emailing it to everyone who backed via the website. One of the questions will be "what email address do you want me to use to contact you from now on".

Sounds amazing. I'm hoping for the best. I know you can do it. Waiting for the alpha feels a lot like waiting for Christmas to me. I know you wont let us down!
