Ah-ha! We have a third opinion about whether there are too many alerts already, from the thread "Right-hand pop up progress alerts":

I think Im with Llapgochmaster on this. I don't feel that there's so much going on in RB3 that I need to automate or use AI.

The whole fun of the game is to juggle all the multiple characters and events, and push myself to best use the resources I do have.
