Talk about Sarah's upcoming game in the Rebuild series.

Trading?

I had Gustav turn up once. No traders from Dahlias, Last Judgement or Riffs.

Yep, this seems to be happening to me too. I had one trade with Gustav in the beginning and that was it.

I've noticed the occasional error sound popping up at random times with no indicator as to what the error is. No message, nothing looking out of the ordinary, nada. I'm wondering if this error sound is connected to the lack of traders, like maybe there's an error in the code for the generation of a trader unit.

Also noticed it isn't just the traders. I went to war, and the other side didn't participate. No spies/saboteurs, no battle groups roaming the forts etc.

I think for the sake of clarity we need to specify what version we are seeing this in as many of us are using early release sub-versions. I am not seeing traders, and I'm using .80.2
Will try war later and post here.

This being said, I'm thinking we should have a bug discussion thread for the next beta release as I suspect that three discrete ones have been detected thus far. Don't forget to post the feedback first before posting in the forum. (And yes, I do have a background in supporting software development for an actively distributed product, so I'm thinking how to make all of this helpful for users and developers alike. For fun, and great profit, of course. :ugeek: 8-) )

The prodigy Sarah has confirmed that this will be fixed in 0.80.3

According to her, the problem is that Gustav is scared of his own shadow like a groundhog :)

How can he be scared of his own shadow like a groundhog?
I don't think any groundhogs saw their shadow this year!

My money is that Gus has gone on vacation to some exotic location in order to find new ways to enhance his opportunistic cooperative capitalism. That, or he's gone to restock.
